AC Log Tab

The aircraft log displays the logs from each day of aircraft flight operations.
The logs are derived from the verification of the flight logs or from manual entries by the user.
Manual entries may be for reasons of initial entry, corrections, or engine changes. At the top of the list is an option to recalculate the logs.
When this action is performed, the log entries generated by the flight logs are cleared and redisplayed in order to ensure any errors in calculation are cleared.
These errors may happen when flight logs are reset, or aircraft are changed in the flight logs after verification.
The only data deleted from this action will be if there have been any comments entered into the flight log generated entries.
No manual entries or data from a manual entry will be affected.
When the utility is run, you must have a manual entry selected from which to begin the recalculation.
A dialog box will display that allows you to cancel it in case any comments have been entered into a flight log generated entry.

Accessing a Log:

To access a log, double-click or use the edit button on the navigation bar.
The log contains the date and time of the creation of the log.
This is very important when creating a manual entry as it needs to be before or after where the correction needs to be made.
The fields with the totals show the totals from when the last entry was made and does not include the totals from the day.
When creating manual entries with the totals, you must check the “Reset” boxes to make an entry in any of the “Total” fields.
*If you are creating an entry for a maintenance interface, ensure the hours in FOS are correct."
The hours in FOS must be greater than the hours in the maintenance program before any times will be exported.
Also, ensure the serial numbers for the engine appear exactly as they do in the maintenance program.

Each log contains a summary button at the bottom.
This contains the information for that day of flying as far as times, legs, seat hours, miles flown, fuel purchased, and burned as well as other expenses from the flight log.
