Accessing the SFTP Site

Accessing the SFTP Site

You will need to setup access to the SFTP site. You can use any program you prefer, we suggest FileZilla as it is free. You can download direct from the vendor.

Connection Setup
1. To add the new SFTP site address, select File --> "Site Manager"

2. Select "New Site. You can name the site to your liking.

3. Select "SFTP - File Transfer Protocol" for the protocol.
Enter the host as "ftp.portside.aero".
Select "Normal" for the Logon type.
Enter the User ID as publicftp (*see notes below)
The password will need to be obtained from FOS Support (this changes weekly).
Select "OK" to save.

     *  For non-specific customer downloads, the password will change frequently so you may need to reach out to FOS Support.
     *  For customer specific downloads, please use the username and password you were provided in place of the generic credentials referenced.

Exporting the Data
1. Once setup, connect to your site by selecting the drop down next to the sit icon then choosing the site you set.

2. Map your location and download.
- On the left (green outline), you would map to where you want the data saved.
- On the right (red outline) you will see the various folders and datasets available for you to download.
      - Once the data is highlighted, right click and choose "download".
- On the bottom (blue outline) is where you will see the download progress.
