Importing Aircraft Data from Template File

The attached files allow users to import limited aircraft data into the FOS system. In order to import the data, it must be in the format outlined in the csv file attached. 


Once the data is in the format outlined it must be saved to a .csv file. 

How to Import Personnel Data 
Note: If a column is not applicable it can be skipped and left blank 
1. Save the .tem file and formatted csv file to the FOS server U drive. Instructions for completing this can be found in the Uploading Documents to FOS help guide. 
2. Open the FOS Main menu, Select the Utilities drop-down, and select Import. 


3. When the import utility opens, select the User tab. 


4. At the top of the import utility select Load, navigate to the location where the .tem file is saved, and select open. When the file is selected the Template file path will update and the template will load on the right side of the import utility.


5. At the top of the import utility select Lookup next to the Input Data File field, navigate to the location where the .csv file is saved and select open. When the file is selected the file path will be added to the Input data file field. 


6. Select the Use Template button under Aircraft


7. Once complete the Import Utility will display Done, the number of inserted records, updated, and skipped records. 


8. The imported records can be found in the Aircraft module.
