Btrieve error 8020 FOS can not open the Btrieve data files. Use the Utilities | File Locations drop down menu to set the Data and Temporary Directories. password_init: compinfo_open (Thread 0)
Solution:
1. Open the Pervasive Control Center. Expand the left-hand menu until the FOS Database is displayed (Typically, FOSDATA). Right-click on the database name and select Properties. In the Properties window, select Directory. Ensure the Location is pointing to the correct FOS Data folder.
2. Open the FOS directory on the server. Ensure there are no Pervasive Files in the FOS Directory, ex: w3btrv7.dll, drm.dll, w3dbsmgr.dll. If you see any of these files, select the file and delete it.
