Combat Email Spoofing from FOS

Combat Email Spoofing from FOS

How to change the FOS user profiles to combat spoofing:

If you are a hosted customer who sends emails from FOS to your internal company email addresses and see they are not being received, you may need to make a change to the FOS User profiles for each individual that sends emails from FOS.

To implement the email change, in each user profile that will email from FOS, add fosnoreply@portside.aero to the email field. You will want to enter the users actual address in the Reply To field. In the event someone then responds to the received email, the response will go back to the valid address.

These changes can be put into place on a daily user profile as well as the Interface Manager User as that is where the automated reports will come from (if set up). Once these changes are made, the user will need to log out and back in for them to take effect. If you changed the Interface Manager User profile, and are hosted, contact FOS Support so that we can log that user off of the server and log it back in.
