Crew Ranking in FOS

The “Crew Ranking” section allows the user to set a default number of days forward and back that gets set in the “Crew Ranking” screen. When the screen is open in a trip, this default setting is used to calculate the field values. Note: Values can be changed from the default if necessary. 

If a user is trying to view the Crew Ranking Module and they do not have access they need at least Read Only permissions for Personnel, Update Permissions for Trip Information, Trip Itineraries, and Add for Trip Crew and Crew Activities. The permissions are highlighted below. if a permission is changed, the user will need to log off and back on for the permission change to take effect. Minimum permission level for this function is  'Update' permissions.





The Crew Ranking Fields are listed on the Times Tab of Company Data.  The weighting factor fields allow you to factor greater values for flight and duty times when viewing the crew ranking.


Changing the weighting factor can be done by editing the activity code and updating the weighting factor. 



  1. The Crew Ranking screen can be accessed by selecting from the trip by clicking on the look up button to the right of the crew's position. When accessing the crew raking from a trip the screen will by default display the crews that are qualified in that position and type.  
  1. The Crew Ranking screen can also be accessed from the Schedule Board by selecting the Window drop down then Crew Ranking.  


Once the crew ranking screen has been opened the top portion of the crew ranking screen can be used to apply filters and adjust the crewmembers that are displayed and also the range of the data 



The columns below display the information for the range that is selected. The Scheduled columns will display information related to trips or activities that are scheduled in the range that is selected in the future. The Total columns will include the scheduled trips and activities in the future and also the trips and activities that are in the past.
