Differences Training

To setup FOS to track training for differences, you'll need to ensure your aircraft, aircraft types, crewmembers qualifications, and the training module are setup correctly. For the below, I will use GV and G550 examples.

Aircraft Record:

1. Each aircraft record should be setup and correspond with the true and actual AC Type. Do not create a new fictious type, to group similar types together.

Aircraft Type Record:

1. In the aircraft type record, both types should be tied together with the same "type rating".

Personnel Record:

1. Pilot will need to be qualified in both types.

2. Within both qualifications, "holds type rating" needs selected (only if true, of course).

Training Module:

1. You'll have all of the main training items, recurring, etc under the Type Rating group.

2. Then you will want an ACType training group for each specific type with any training that is strictly for differences. you don't want anything but the differences course(s) in these groups.
