Error: FOS ShellExecute Error Number 5
Error:
FOS ShellExecute() Error Number: 5
System Error Msg: The operating system denied access to the specified file.
C:\FOS\FosReport.exe
Solutions:
1. On the workstation affected, exclude FOS.exe from the DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Reboot the machine.
2. Ensure the FOSReport.exe is still located in the FOS directory on the server. If it is not, grab the FOSreport.exe that goes with the corresponding version. (You can get this by updating your local copy of FOS, opening the location of the FOS files and zipping up the FOSReport.exe).
3. Ensure the Antivirus software (an example of Antivirus software is Kaspersky) on the workstation has the FOS.exe files added to the allowed list.
