Grey FOS “Not Responding” or Locking Up
A few users have recently complained of FOS "freezing” or “locking up” when they try to access a database within another. An example of this would be when opening a trip and then trying to access a personnel/crewmember record.
If this happens, ensure that the other window/record didn’t open up behind the other active screens. Engineering feels this could be a timing issue with the databases opening, but no fix for it.
I found a good way to circumvent is to check the box “preopen the databases” at the FOS log in screen. Once this was selected, the active windows opened up on top of the other screens as they should.
