FOS now offers an International trip Support (ITS) interface with an established connection through Vendor Alliance. Before enabling the connection, an account should be setup with the vendor directly.
Current providers:
- JetEx (fos@jetex.com)
Setting up the interface:
1. Once an account is established with the preferred ITS vendor, navigate to Vendor Alliance > ITS tab > select the vendor on the available side and choose Add to move it to the Configured Vendors
side. Information on the status of the vendor can be found
here.
2. In the Company module > Interfaces tab > Data Sync subtab create an entry using the username and password that the vendor has provided you for the integration.
Using the interface:
1. Once the initial setup is complete, any trip or leg can be shared with the ITS provider. From the trip, go to Interfaces > ITS Request Integration. The system will prompt you to save before proceeding.
2. Select your provider on a leg by leg basis. The "Non Providers Display" radio buttons will only exclude data or show basic city pairs, times and crew data for a leg set to Info Only if the provider is set to No Provider. Use this if you do NOT need ITS support for the leg in question, but merely want to provide basic leg data for a larger picture. These two radio buttons have no impact if provider is selected.
The bottom section is checkbox driven and will tell the ITS provider what service you would like them to arrange on your behalf based on the departure location, arrival location, or en-route information. Once all leg services are marked accordingly, choose Submit Trip.
*Be sure to highlight the leg at the top to set leg specific services.
3. On the ITS Integration tab you will see service status, time stamp of the initial submission and last update. You can also use the "Update Status" box to refresh status information on the page.
4. If there is a change to the leg details or services need to be adjusted, go back to the trip Interfaces > ITS Request Integration and make the appropriate changes > Update Trip. Additionally, there is automated functionality or popup options that can be set
on the Interfaces tab within the Company module.
- You will need to perform this step if there is a change in dates, times, locations, service needs.
- If you wish to change the Provider of a previously submitted leg, you will need to cancel the leg entirely and rebuild the leg.
