Managing Comments

The Comments Module can be accessed from the Admin Tab of the Main Menu.


After opening the Comments module, the current table of comments will display:



Adding a new comment to the database:
To add a new comment, select the red "+" at the top navigation bar. This will insert a blank record at the top of the comments table.


Enter a brief title for your comment in the Note field:


Type the full comment into the white box next to the Comment field:


After saving the new comment, the comment will display in the Comment. Select the check-mark at the top to save the new comment.



Filtering Comments:
  1. To allow filtering of comment types, you may assign your comment a Type.
  2. Place your cursor in the type field of the comment line to select the Type.


Adding a new type:
  1. To add a new type, select the Type button located at the top of the form.
  2. If you have the appropriate FOS user permissions, you may add a new type code.



Applying a Comment:
A stored comment can be added into any text field throughout FOS.
To add a comment into a field, right-click in a blank field and select the Lookup menu option. Blank fields could be general comment fields, service fields, etc.


Selecting the Lookup option will pull up the comment table > Double-click on the appropriate comment > The comment will then be displayed in the field.
