FAA-117 Tab

FAA-117 Tab

Just as the other tabs in the Regulation Module the FAA-117 tab may be used in conjunction with the other duty time fields within the regulations or by itself.

Checking the Enable Online FAA 117 Legality Checks will enable the 117 Regulations. By default the FAR Part 117 Values will be selected.

Selecting the Use Custom Values allows users to customize the regulations. Each rule that is part of the 117 Regulations can be enabled or disabled and customized.

With the addition of the 117 Regulations in FOS some new codes have been added. Long Call Reserve has been added to the Activity Type Codes to allow users to track pilots who are being put on Long Call Reserve.

In the Activities in FOS additional fields have been added. These can be manipulated on a trip by trip basis as needed or defaulted into the activity code.

Mid/Split Duty Rest Available – Select to denote that Mid or Split Duty Rest is available for this duty period

Reference Home Base Time within Theater – When the crewmember is acclimated to a theater that encompasses their home base and this box is checked, FOS will use home base time as the reference

Break Travel Time – Can be used to denote the amount of time travel used for the crew to reach their Mid/Split Duty Rest location. The number entered in this field will be subtracted from the total Mid/Split Duty Rest time that is available
