FOS Airport Update Instructions (3.15.4 and greater)
Prerequisite: Ensure you are updating from FOS 3.12.1 or higher, if not please refer to the setup instructions outlined in this article and complete steps 1-2. If you are hosted by Portside, this requirement has been completed already.
Notes: With the release of FOS version 3.15.4, airport data will be provided by Universal Aviation. Any new data is released on Mondays.
To manually update the airport data, the following considerations should be made:
- It is best practice, but not required, to have all users logged out during the update as any open airport records will not be updated during this process.
- Any open records will be skipped and attempted at the next airport update run time.
- There is also the option to setup automated airport updates. Please see this article for more details.
Update Steps:
- Navigate to the Convert utility > Updates tab
- Select the "Sync Airport/DST with Universal" button
Note: When the update is complete, the word “DONE” will appear
