Users Module - Alerts Tab

SIDE NOTES:
1) You can see examples of alerts here: Alert Examples
2) CASS entries require a due date in order for an alert to be generated.
3) Service/Safety entries will send out an initial alert when created, even if no due date is entered.
4) Alert settings selected on this tab are specific to the FOS User. FOS Users do not inherit settings from the FOS User Group they are assigned.


This tab determines which e-mail alerts the user receives. It works in conjunction with the E-Mail
Alerts section on the “General” tab in Company Data.
The user may receive alerts on the following (and may be filtered according to All Bases or User's Base):
  1. Service Issues
  2. Maintenance Items
  3. Checklist Items
  4. Itineraries
  5. Training Items
  6. System Notifications












    
  1. Mobile Push - This setting allows for the user to receive a Push Notification on their Mobile Device. With the above settings enabled (Popup, E-mail, Mobile Push), the user will receive a popup, e-mail,
  2. and/or mobile push notification when a new note or trip is added to FOS (for new notes/trips NOT added by the user themselves). A Note or Trip Type may be specified by selecting an option from the "Type" field. If no type is selected, the user will be notified of all types.

Additional tweaks to the notifications may also be noted using the additional checkboxes below.

  1. Trip Leg ETD/ETA Changes - If there is a change in the ETD or ETA in a trip, there is an option to turn on FOS Messages to notify certain FOS Users that there was a change in the ETD or ETA of the trip.
  2. Future Trips Only - Will notify the user of all future trips scheduled.
  3. Assigned Trips Only - Will notify users of the trips to which they are assigned and no others.
  4. All FLOG Expenses Verified Notifications - Will be sent out once trip expenses have been marked as completed. That user will receive an alert when the “Exp Complete” box has been checked on the flight log Expenses tab and the flight log has been verified. The alert will display in the form of a pop-up message.
  5. Trip/leg approval changes - This will alert the user of any changes made to a trip/leg that has been marked approved.
  6. Passenger Legs only - Will only send alerts to this user if there are passengers on the legs
  7. Trips departing within (number) of days - Will alert the user of all trips that are scheduled to depart in the number of days set in the field.
  8. Crew Brief Notifications - When selected, along with the “Email” and/or “Pop-Up” settings, users will receive a notification if the crewmember acknowledges the briefing from FOS Mobile with a comment. Users will not receive a notification if there is no comment added when the brief is acknowledged.
  9. Quote Request Notification Messages - The user may also receive notification of quote requests that are imported into the system.
  10. Mobile Crew Activity Updates - In update 3.11.9 a check box was added to the Alerts tab of the User profile to allow users to receive alerts for any activities sent from the ARINC/FOS application to FOS Core. The user will receive an alert when an activity is submitted via ARINC/FOS Mobile.
