Document Drive Mapping

When using mapped drives to access FOS and it's associated files changes to the server may be required for viewing documents in mobile or submitting documents from Mobile.

If the images are mapped to a server name, the account the fosmobilehost service runs as needs to change to an account that has permissions to the mapped drive name share.

1. Run services.msc.

2. Find "FOSMobile Host" in the list, right-click, and select properties.

3. Select the "Log On" tab.

4. Click the "This account" option and add an account username and password.

Note: A Windows account will need to be created for this and it must have access to the mapped drive.

5. Restart the "FOSMobile Host" service.

If images are mapped to a specific drive letter a registry entry will need to be entered.

1. Open regedit.exe

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\DOS Devices

3. Right click and select New String Value.

4. The name should be the specific drive letter the images are mapped to.

5. Once the name is entered right click on the entry and select modify to add the image path.

6. The completed entry should look similar to the below example.

7. Reboot the server.
