Just as the EU-OPS Rest tab, the EU-OPS Duty tab may be used in conjunction with the other duty time fields within the regulations or by itself.
There is a radio button option to set the flight duty period legs either at 2-9 or 1-8 depending upon your needs.
The limitations may be based upon report time, Window of Circadian Low (WOCL), or the crew member being “Not Acclimatized”. Choosing any of these options will change the table to the necessary fields.
If the table is based on “Report Time”, you may specify the reporting time on the left and then enter the duty period limitation based on the number of legs flown. This table also allows a maximum time for standby duty and a field to reduce the flight duty period based on standby time.
You may also show a duty period extension and then limit how many of those extensions may happen in a certain period.
If the duty periods are limited based on WOCL, the table will change to show maximum flight duty periods, extensions, and extensions based on Window of Circadian Low. It will also allow you to enter a duty period when an augmented crew is involved and whether rest is accomplished in a seat or on a bunk.
Whether crew rest is accomplished in a seat or a bunk is determined by the check box in the trip notebook.

The user will also have fields to specify the window of circadian low and by percentage, how much the duty period is to be reduced when encroaching upon the WOCL. Extensions are also covered within this window.
The last option for the flight duty period limitations table is “Not Acclimatized”. This option not only allows for the flight duty period to be entered but allows for flight duty periods to be based on when the crewmember is not acclimatized.
To determine if a crewmember is not acclimatized, the option must be checked in the duty period. “Not Acclimatized” option in the duty period
The last section contains fields for split duty. These will only apply if the information has been entered in the flight duty table above.
These fields allow the duty time to be split by a break if certain criteria are met. In the example below if the break is between two and four hours the flight duty period may be increased 50 percent or half the length of the break. If the break is between four and six hours the duty period may be extended to 66.7 percent or two-thirds the length of the break.
Also included is the combined pre and post flight time for the split duty. You may also define the length of the duty period before and after the break, the total length of the duty period, and the maximum number of legs after the break.
