Downloading the App
• In the App Store on the Apple Device, search for “PORTSIDE FOS” and select “+GET” to download the application to your device.
• After the application has downloaded to the device, launch the application.
Logging In
• Log into the application with registered login credentials.
• This login is obtained by contacting your company’s FOS Administrator.
• The Portside FOS Mobile application follows General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR, effective May 25, 2018. A pop-up message regarding data privacy within the application will display. The user will “Acknowledge” the statement. This acknowledgement will be required once per year.
Configuration
If the user’s Flight Manager login is connected to the FOS User profile and is marked with FOS Mobile access, there is no need to configure the device to the FOS User profile. The app will automatically sync and connect to FOS. With Single Sign On, after logging in with the Flight Manager login, the FOS Calendar will display.
Without Using Unified Sign On:
• If the user’s FOS user profile does not contain Flight Manager login information, the FOS Mobile Settings screen will appear upon successful login.
• The FOS Mobile Settings screen will require the User to enter their FOS User ID, Password and Host URL.
Select Connect
After successful connection, the user will receive a “Connected” message and the FOS Mobile Settings page will retreat.
Enabling FOS Mobile Push Notifications on your Device
Within the General Settings on your device, select “PORTSIDE FOS” “Notifications.”
Adjust the “Notifications” section for your device.
Enabling Push Notifications within FOS
To enable Push Notifications within FOS, open the FOS User profile and select the “Alerts” tab. Then, enable the “Mobile Push” checkbox.

Notifications from FOS to FOS Mobile
Crew Brief Notifications:
When active inside the app, select “Got it” to close the notification, or “Go There” to open the leg.
When not active inside the app, slide to left to see the “View” or “Clear” options. Selecting View, will take you into the leg and selecting Clear will clear the notification.
New Trips / Legs:
When active inside the app, select “Got it” to close the notification, or “Go There” to open the leg.
When not active inside the app, slide to left to see the “View” or “Clear” options. Selecting View, will take you into the leg and selecting Clear will clear the notification.
Updated Leg Times (ETA/ETD):
When active inside the app, select “Got it” to close the notification, or “Go There” to open the leg.

FOS Calendar / Agenda Overview
Month View
• Sync of Data
• When navigating to the calendar, the application will begin syncing when a WIFI or Cellular Connection is enabled and/or available. The Month View Calendar will display the number of days backwards and forwards that is set in the user’s FOS User profile or the FOS Company Data section.
• After the sync is complete, the timer at the top will display the amount of time since last sync.
• Schedule Data
• Select a day on the month view to see more information regarding the FOS schedule. Days marked with a blue coloured circle under the date denote an event for the day. Inversely, days without a blue coloured circle indicate no event.
Agenda View
• In addition to the Month View, the Agenda View offers another way to view the FOS schedule information. Similarly, the Agenda will display the number of days backwards and forwards that is set in the user’s FOS User profile or the FOS Company Data section.
• To switch to the Agenda view, select the “Agenda” button located on the top right of FOS Calendar.
• The aircraft, crewmembers and passengers displayed on the left corresponds with the Mobile settings in the user’s FOS User profile.
• Additionally, filters applied from the Filters menu may also be utilized.
• Quick “Filter” and “Search” fields are located at the top left of the Agenda view. The “Filter” allows for users to quickly apply an aircraft, crewmember or passenger filter to the schedule. The “Search” field allows users to isolate a particular record.
• For the “Search” field, enter in an aircraft, crew or passenger name or ID. As a user types in this field, the results are displayed on the left. After the aircraft, crewmember or passenger displays, select the item to view their schedule on the right. To clear your search, backspace in the “Search” field and select “Done”.
Filters
A number of filters and settings can be applied to the FOS calendar. Filters applied on the Month view or Agenda view will carry over when toggling between the views. To apply a filter, select the Menu icon.

Filters – Departure and Arrival Times
• There are two options for displaying time on the calendar: “Show as UTC Time” and “Show as Local Time”.
• Users will also notice that when “Show as Local Time” is selected, the top of the calendar will display the time zone of the device. Additionally, the GMT offset for the airport will display next to the departure / arrival times.
Filters – Calendar Filters
• The “Calendar Filters” are utilized for narrowing down the segments on the calendar and agenda to specific items.
Options include:

Aircraft Activities only
Briefed Legs only
Logged Legs only
Crew Duty / Activities only
• After choosing a filter and selecting “Done”, the calendar or agenda will adjust to display the filter item selected.
• When a filter has been applied, the icon will change slightly to denote a filter has been applied.
Filters – Schedule Actions
• Options under “Schedule Actions” allow the user to perform certain tasks on the device, which are submitted back to FOS.
Options include:
+ add a New Trip
+ add Crew Duties and Activity
New Trip
After selecting “+add a New Trip,” users are presented with a new window, requiring certain information for the new trip. Aircraft and Requester are required fields. Additional fields that may be populated are: Authorizer, Note, Flight Number, Regulation, Purpose and Approval.
After filling out the appropriate fields, select “+Save and Add Leg” at the top of the screen.
• In the next screen, fill out the additional appropriate fields, such as Departure, Destination, ETD, Flight Time, etc. Use the + by Crew and Pax to add the crewmembers and passengers to the leg. For additional legs, once complete, select “+Add Leg” at the top. If this is the only leg, select “Done.”
After selecting “Done” a new window will appear with the information that was entered. Select “Save and Submit” to send the new trip to the FOS System.
• Users will receive a message that the trip has been added successfully.
After successful submission and processing, the trip will look like the below and users will be able to perform all regular logging functions.
New Activity
• After selecting “+add Crew Duty and Activity” users are presented with a new window, requiring certain information for the new activity.
• To assign a crewmember to the activity, select “Assigned crew” at the top right. This will present a drop-down window and display the list of crewmembers that the user is configured to see based on the Mobile settings of the user’s FOS User profile. Tap on the crewmember name to select them for the activity.
To select multiple crewmembers, tap on each crewmember name. Ensure a blue checkmark is displayed next to their name.
Select “Done” after picking the appropriate crewmember(s).
• Enter the additional information for the activity, such as Activity Type, Begin Airport, Begin Date/Time, End Airport and End Date/Time. Select “Submit” after information has been entered. After “Submit” has been selected, the new activity information will be sent to FOS.
Filters – Resource Filters
Options under “Resource Filters” allow the user to quickly filter the schedule information displayed. Selections made here will transfer to the Agenda view and vice versa, when toggling between both.
Options include:

Crew
Pax
• After selecting an initial resource filter (Aircraft, Crew or Pax), users are presented with a secondary menu to further tailor the list. Users may also utilize the “clear all” or “select all” option presented at the bottom of the menu.
• For longer lists of Aircraft, Crew or Passengers, users may utilize the “Search” field at the top of the filter screen. Enter in the appropriate ID, Tail Number or Name. Select “Search” on the keyboard.
Agenda View
• The Days Back and Days Forward settings for the agenda view are controlled in the user’s FOS User profile or the FOS Company Data section.
• In addition to the Filter and Search features also available on this screen, users can also access information about the aircraft, crew and passengers from this screen, without having to open a trip.
To view this information, select the Aircraft, Crewmember or Passenger icon.
• The selected information will display. More details about the content that is displayed here can be found later in the guide.
Colour Coding
The coloured circles next to the tail number will indicate the leg status as set by the Colour Key on the FOS schedule board.
This colour key applies to both the FOS Calendar Month View and the FOS Calendar Agenda View.
Aircraft Information
Selecting the Aircraft icon from the Agenda view in the Portside FOS Mobile application will open the Aircraft Information screen. In previous FOS Mobile applications, the aircraft information was only available when drilling down into a leg. The aircraft information is also available within the leg itself (displayed later in the guide).
Photo Icon
• Applying a Photo - Tap the aircraft icon at the top left to select a photo for this aircraft. The photo is device-specific and does not read from the FOS database. Select “Take Photo” or “Choose Photo.”
• After taking a new photo, or choosing from the available photos from your device, an Edit Screen will display the photo selection. Adjust the photo by pinching to expand or contract the photo into the circle. After adjusting, select “Done.”
• The updated photo will be displayed in the Aircraft information screen throughout the app and in the Agenda view.
Changing a Photo – Users may edit the photo icon once an initial photo has been applied. This is done by tapping the photo icon for the aircraft. Then, in the bottom right, select the camera icon. An “Update Photo” menu will appear with the following selections: “Take Photo”, “Choose Photo”, “Edit Photo”, or “Remove Photo.” Changes made to a photo after selection are also device-specific and do not affect the FOS database or another users’ device.
General Info
• The General Information section will display the aircraft icon, Tail Number, Serial Number, and Aircraft Type.
• The Mobile/Brief Comment field will display the aircraft-specific Mobile/Brief comments as noted in the Comments tab of the aircraft record in FOS.
• The Aircraft Details section will display hours and cycles information for the airframe, appropriate accessories and engines. Additionally, for the aircraft the next due date will display.
• Also in this section, it will note the date of the last Flight Arrival, along with the Landing Fuel amount. This is based off verified flight log data.
• The Last VOR check and Hobbs Time information will also be displayed.
Aircraft Details – CASS and Trend Monitoring
• This section allows users to create new CASS (and view existing) items, as well as add new Trend Monitoring data.
• CASS
• After selecting the “CASS” button, a list of currently CASS items will display. There is a toggle at the top for “Open Items” or “All CASS.”
• When viewing the CASS item list, users can view the Status (Resolved or Unresolved), Type and Date of the Leg for the item.
• The CASS items with a checkmark indicate the item originated from FOS Mobile and can be edited. The items without a green checkmark denote CASS items that originated from FOS and cannot be edited.
• Users now have the ability to sort by Type, Date, or Status in Ascending/Descending order on both the Open Items and All CASS tabs.
• Users may add additional CASS items into this area. Select the button at the top right and then select “New.”
• Select a leg and enter in the CASS Item information. Select “Done.” Selecting “Done” will save and submit the information to FOS.
• Trend Monitoring
• After selecting the “Trend Monitoring” button, select the “+” at the top to create a new item. Then, select a leg.
• Enter the Trend information into the Trend Monitoring fields. Select “Done.” Selecting “Done” will save and submit the information to FOS.

• Options include: “Submit,” “Edit,” “Duplicate” or “Delete.”
• Users may also select the “edit” option in the top-right of the trend monitoring form to make adjustments once the item has been originally submitted.
Aircraft Documents
• Aircraft documents that have been enabled for FOS Mobile are available by selecting the “Aircraft Documents” section.
• The count of available documents will display at the right.
• Select the “Aircraft Documents” header to view the available documents.
In the list of documents, select the top right icon to download all documents at once. Or, choose the download icon at the far right of each document to download the document individually.
After the document(s) is finished downloading, select it to open and view.
Crew Information
Photo
• Applying a Photo - Tap the crewmember icon at the top left to select a photo for this crewmember. The photo is device-specific and does not read from the FOS database. Select “Take Photo” or “Choose Photo.”

General Info
• The general information section will list the “Weight” of the crewmember. This information must be populated within the Personnel record for the crewmember to display.
• The Passport section will list the passport information for the crewmember. If more than one passport is available, it will display all passport records.
• The passport fields include: Name, Passport Number, Country, Birthdate and Expiration Date.
Crew Duties
• The Crew Duties section will list the activities for the selected crewmember in one location that are valid for the Days Forward and Days Back setting in the FOS User profile or FOS Company Data.
• Users may edit the activities from this section, or create a new one.
Training Items
• The training items section will display the list of training items for the crewmember that are available for the Mobile application.
• Color Coding:
Training Items Details, Document & Sign Off
• Details- Within a training item, details will display about the item. The information includes: Completed Date, Next Due Date, Next Training, Source, Reference, Airport, Group Type, Flight Restrictive, Grace Period, Required Training Time and Note.
• Document - If a document is linked with the training item within FOS, the “Document” button will be illuminated. Select the “Document” button to download and view the document.
• Sign Off – If the training item has been marked for sign off and the user has sign off permissions, the “Sign Off” button will be illuminated within the training item. o After selecting “Sign Off,” choose a date from the calendar.
If there is an image or picture of a certificate or other form associated with the event, select the “Upload Picture” button on the next screen. If not, select “Done.”
“Take a Photo” or “Choose a Photo” to apply. Users may also crop a photo once selected. After selecting a photo (and editing the photo if necessary), select “Done.” This will send the information back to FOS.
o The training item will now display “Signed Off” in green and, if a photo was selected, will also display the photo.
Documents
• Crewmember documents that have been enabled for FOS Mobile are available by selecting the “Documents” section.
• The count of available documents will display at the right.
• Select the “Documents” header to view the available documents.
o In the list of documents, select the top right icon to download all documents at once. Or, choose the download icon at the far right of each document to download the document individually.
o After the document(s) is finished downloading, select it to open and view.
Contact
• The Contact section will list the Crew contact information, as well as the Emergency Contact information.
Please note - users will only have access to the Emergency Contact information if the user has the FOS permission selected in their FOS User profile.
Passenger Information
• The first section within the Passenger Information contains general information for the passenger: Name, First Name, Last Name, Middle Name, Gender, Passenger Weight, Baggage Weight, Status, Note, Reason and Priority.
• The passport section contains important details regarding the passport for the passenger. These details include: Number, Country, Nationality, Residency, Birthplace, Birthdate, Issued and Expiration.
Documents
• Passenger documents that have been enabled for FOS Mobile are available by selecting the “Documents” section.
• The count of available documents will display at the right.
• Select the “Documents” header to view the available documents.
o In the list of documents, select the top right icon to download all documents at once. Or, choose the download icon at the far right of each document to download the document individually.
o After the document(s) is finished downloading, select it to open and view.
Contact
• The Contact section will list the selected passenger’s contact information.
FOS Calendar / Agenda Details
When viewing a date on the FOS Calendar, the legs and activities for the selected date will be displayed.
For each leg or activity, certain details will be displayed. This same information is also available on the Agenda view, however, rather than selecting a Date to start with, users would select a Tail Number, Crewmember or Passenger record (based on permissions).
• For legs, details include: Tail Number, City Pair, Departure / Arrival Time, Requester, Pax Count and Crew Count.
• For Activities, details include: Activity Type, City Pair, Start / End Time and Crewmember Name.
• As in the previous Mobile applications, the color coding for the legs will display. The color coding will match the color key as specified in the FOS program for the User or the Group that the user is assigned.
New to the application is a symbol on the schedule that denotes that a brief has been sent and that it requires acknowledgement. This is denoted with a green “B” by the leg. Once the brief has been acknowledged, the symbol will disappear.
Leg Details
After selecting a leg on the FOS Calendar or FOS Agenda, users are presented with a “Sections” menu. Select “Leg Details” or select a specific section to drill down into the leg details.

• Selecting “Flight Risk” will launch a new browser window on the device and display the FlightRisk information for the leg. This feature requires an additional subscription.
• Selecting “Fatigue” will launch a new browser window on the device connecting the user to the appropriate site based the subscription held with one of the 3rd party fatigue management tools.
Trip Summary
In any portion of the leg, users may select the “expand” button located at the top right of the screen to pull out another menu that will display the Trip Summary.
• This will list all of the legs associated with the trip and also provide a summarization of the trip (EX: Total number of legs, Total duration, etc)
Leg Details
• When selecting Leg Detail within a leg, this will allow users to scroll down and view all of the leg information.
• At the top of the screen is a carousel that allows the users to scroll to a particular section.
• In lieu of the carousel, users may select the menu icon at the top right of the All Sections screen. This will list the same “leg sections” that were available on the previous screen, as well as the additional “Utilities” options.
The map at the top of a leg will display the great circle routing for the leg. Tap on the map to expand the mapping window.
flight plan route and weather overlay. On the map, select the yellow warning icon. This will display a login page to enter Portside credentials. The flight plan route overlay will display for any leg that has a flight plan with an assigned recall number.
• The weather overlay can be enable once maximizing the map and selecting the overlay/layers symbol .
• Selecting the Flight Plan icon at the top right of the map allows users to launch the Flight Plan using the Portside App or the Portside Website. To use the Portside App option, a recalled Flight Plan must exist for the leg within FOS.
After selecting the Portside App option:
Leg Summary
Selecting the Leg Summary section will display the basic details of the leg, such as Requester, Authorizer, ETE, NM, Leg State, Leg Type, Requester Purpose, etc.
Planner Contact
Selecting the Planner Contact section will display the leg planner’s contact information.
Selecting the Leg Documents section will display the documents associated for the trip/leg. The Cloud Symbol will denote the document is available for download.
Briefs
Selecting the Briefs section will display the brief messages associated for the trip/leg and, if the trip has been briefed from FOS, the “Acknowledge Brief” button will appear in green. As previously noted in the guide, a green B symbol will also display by the leg on the FOS Calendar or Agenda View until the brief has been acknowledged.
• After selecting the “Acknowledge Brief” button, a pop-up window will appear allowing the user to enter in a comment.
• After entering in any applicable comments, select OK. In the Brief Messages section, a blue checkmark will appear denoting the brief has been acknowledged and the acknowledgement has been sent to FOS. In the “My Comments” section below, any comments entered by the user will display here.
Departure / Arrival
Selecting the Departure / Arrival section will display information on the Departure and Arrival Airports and Services selected for the leg. The left side will display Departure information and the right side will display Arrival information.
• Selecting the Airport Tower icon in the top right of the screen will open up to the Airport Directory for the city pair.
• Select the Airport section to display additional details about the airport.
• Select the FBO Service section to display additional details about the selected FBO.
• Select a particular service within the Service section to display additional details about the service. Items displayed in this section include the comments for the service that are entered into FOS. The symbols next to each service will display the status of the service.
Services Status – The status associated with the departure and arrival services can be viewed on this screen. Symbols:
Crew
Selecting the Crew section will display information about the crewmembers for the selected leg.
• The crewmembers will display in a list format, however, by selecting the tile icon at the top right, users may display the crew list in the tile format.
• In the Crew section, users may see the crewmembers that have acknowledged the brief, or have been sent a brief, but not yet acknowledged.
• To view more information about a crewmember, such as weight or passport details, select the crewmember. This will open to the Crew Information screen. For more information about the Crew Information screen, please refer to an earlier section of this guide.
• There are a few options for running Crew Fatigue (with the use of a 3rd party fatigue management tool/subscription).
• Option 1: Swipe to the left on a particular crewmember from the list view.
• Option 2: Select the “Select” button, in either the list or tile view. Use the “Select All Crew” button or select each applicable crewmember. Then, select the “Run Fatigue” button at the bottom of the screen.
• Option 3: After selecting a crewmember to open the Crew Information screen, select the button at the top right, then select “Run Fatigue.”
Passengers
Selecting the Passenger section will display information about the passengers for the selected leg.
• The passengers will display in a list format, however, by selecting the tile icon at the top right, users may display the passenger list in the tile format.
• To view more information about a passenger, such as weight or passport details, select the passenger. This will open to the Passenger Information screen. For more information about the Passenger Information screen, please refer to an earlier section of this guide.
• There are a few options for marking the status of the Passenger – Checked In, Boarded or No Show.
• Option 1: Swipe to the left on a particular passenger from the list view.
Option 2: Select the “Select” button, in either the list or tile view. Use the “Select All Passengers” button or select each applicable passenger. Then, select the “Change Status” button at the bottom of the screen.
Option 3: After selecting a passenger to open the Passenger Information screen, select the button at the top right, then select the appropriate status.
Adding Passengers
If the user has appropriate permissions to add passengers to legs within the Mobile application, this will be done in the Passengers section of the leg as well. At the top left of the passenger screen, select the + symbol to add a new passenger.
Search Existing Passengers – Selecting this option first is always recommended. This allows users to search the existing FOS Database for the passenger, prior to creating a new trip passenger record.
• The initial results that will display after selecting “Search Existing” will be passengers on other legs of your Mobile schedule and are already stored locally on your device. Select “Show More” to display more than the first few results.
• If none of the suggested results match the passenger the user needs to add, type in the “Search” column at the top, by Passenger Name. Then, select “Search Remotely” to search the FOS Passenger Database.
• After selecting “Search Remotely,” if the passenger is in the FOS database, it will be listed in the “Remote Results” section. Tap on the passenger name and select “Done” to add the passenger to the leg.
• The passenger will display on the passenger list after selection and will be sent to FOS.
• Add New Passenger – If no results were returned after remotely searching the FOS Database, this option can be used to add a new trip passenger record.
• After selecting “Add New Passenger” a blank Passenger Information screen will display. This screen will allow the user to enter basic information about the passenger, such as Name, Birth Date, Weight, Gender, etc.
• Additionally, users are able to enter Passport information for the passenger, by selecting the “Travel Documents” section.
• After entering in the applicable passenger details, select “Done.”
• The passenger will display on the passenger list after selection and will be sent to FOS.
Safety / Service Issues
Selecting the Safety / Service Issues section will allow users to create and submit Safety and/or Service issues for the selected leg. Select “+ Add Safety Issue” or “+ Add Service Issue” to add a new issue.
• When adding a new Safety issue, users are presented with a window to enter details about the Safety issue. Fill out all applicable fields. Users may also select a picture to submit with the issue.
• Unlike the previous mobile application, users may enter the details they have currently and select “Done” when finished to submit. If additional details must be entered, users may open the previously submitted item and update the fields. Selecting “Done” again will resubmit the updated details.
• When adding a new Service issue, users are presented with a window to enter details about the Service issue. Fill out all applicable fields. Users may also select a picture to submit with the issue.
• Unlike the previous mobile application, users may enter the details they have currently and select “Done” when finished to submit. If additional details must be entered, users may open the previously submitted item and update the fields. Selecting “Done” again will resubmit the updated details.
• Safety or Service Issues submitted for the leg will display in the listing.
Expenses
Selecting the Expenses section will allow users to create and submit Expenses for the selected leg. Select “+” to add a new expense.
• Fill out all applicable fields. Users may also select a picture to submit with the expense.
• Expenses submitted for the leg will display in the listing.
Expenses can also be submitted from a Crew Activity. Once the expense information has been populated, select “Done” to submit the expense to FOS. To utilize this feature, FOS must be on version 3.11.7 or higher.
Pre Flight
Selecting the Pre Flight section will allow users to submit Pre-Flight details for the selected leg.
• Fill out all applicable fields.
• When saving the Pre-Flight details, users are presented with two options: “Save for Later” or
“Save & Submit.”
• Save for later – This option will save the users entry on the device, but not yet submit the information to FOS.
• Save & Submit – This option will both save the users entry and submit to FOS.
• Based on the option selected above, the Pre-Flight will display either a Sent or Saved status.
• If logged is seen, that indicates the Post Flight was submitted from another crewmember (must use FOS version 3.11.10 or higher for this function).
Post Flight
Selecting the Post Flight section will allow users to submit Post Flight details for the selected leg.
• Fill out all applicable fields.
• When saving the Post Flight details, users are presented with two options: “Save for Later” or “Save & Submit.”
• Save for later – This option will save the users entry on the device, but not yet submit the information to FOS.
• Save & Submit – This option will both save the users entry and submit to FOS.
• Based on the option selected above, the Post Flight will display either a Sent or Saved status.
• If logged is seen, that indicates the Post Flight was submitted from another crewmember (must use FOS version 3.11.10 or higher for this function).
Augmented Crew
Within the post flight section of a leg, users have the ability to edit the crewmember logbooks to account for an augmented flight crew.
• In the “Crew” section of the post flight, select the “Edit Log” button. This will allow you to edit a single crewmember’s logbook.
• After making adjustments to the logbook details, select “Done” to save and submit the information.
Aircraft Info
Selecting the Aircraft Info section will allow users to view aircraft details, as well as submit CASS or Trend Monitoring details for the selected leg. For more information about the Aircraft Information screen, please refer to an earlier section of this guide.
CASS
• After selecting CASS in the Aircraft Info screen, users may view the current CASS items for the aircraft.
• To create a new CASS item, select the icon at the top right. Then, select “New.”
• Fill out all applicable fields. Users may also select a picture to submit with the CASS item and select “Done” to submit the CASS item.
Trend Monitoring
• After selecting Trending Monitoring in the Aircraft Info screen, users may create new trend monitoring reports for the aircraft.
• Fill out all applicable fields. Select “Done” to submit to FOS.
Submitting Items when Offline or No Connection
Items that are saved when the user is offline or without a connection will be saved locally on the device. On the main screen of the FOS Calendar or FOS Agenda, if offline, and items have been saved, a “Submit All” button will display, along with a count of saved, but not yet submitted items.
When the user has a connection again, select the “Submit All” button to submit the items that are being stored in the queue.
Trip Support Calendar
Calendar & Agenda View
• The Trip Support Calendar and Agenda will default and display trip support legs within -15 and +90 days.
• If no data is found within this timeframe, users will see a message noting this. Filters
• A limited number of filters, primarily the ability to filter the schedule by Aircraft, Crew, or Passenger may also be applied to the Trip Support Calendar.
• Please note: the Trip Support Calendar may only be viewed in UTC time.
Leg Information
• After selecting the leg from the Trip Support Calendar, this will display the Trip Support Trip Number, along with the City Pair, Date/Time and a map showing the great circle routing.
• From this screen, choose a section or select “All Sections” to view more information on this leg.
Trip Summary
• - In any portion of the leg, users may select the “expand” button located at the top right of the screen to pull out another menu that will display the Trip Summary.
o This will list all of the legs associated with the trip and also provide a summarization of the trip (EX: Total number of legs, Total duration, etc)
All Sections
• When selecting “All Sections” this allows the user to scroll through all of the details and display all information about the Trip Support leg. o Leg Summary
o Departure / Arrival o Crew o Passengers o Leg Documents
• Additionally, when in the “All Sections” portion, users will notice a carousel displayed at the top, which allows users to navigate to the different sections. Simply tap on an option in the carousel and the information displayed will jump to the selection.
Leg Summary
• The Leg Summary section will list the basic details of the leg.
o Also, if applicable, this section will also display the Flight Plan Preferences for the selected leg that are loaded in the system by the Trip Support Team.
Departure / Arrival
• The Departure / Arrival section will list the following information:
o Departure & Arrival Airport Details If an Alternate Airport or ETPs/ETOPs are loaded, select the “Alternate” button to view the details.
o FBO Ground Handler o Supervisory Agent
o Departure & Arrival Tasks – The status and documents associated with the departure and arrival tasks can be viewed on this screen.
Viewing a Task Note/Document:
• To view a note/document associated with a task, select the task. The next screen will display any additional details and will display the documents/notes attached.
• Select the note/document to view the information.
Crew
• To view the crewmembers assigned to the leg, along with their assigned position, select the “Crew” option.
• To view the passengers assigned to the leg, select the “Passengers” option.
Leg Documents
• To view the documents/notes associated to the leg, select the “Leg Documents” option. This will present a secondary menu allowing the user to drill-down further into the type of document.
Airports
To access the Airport Directory section of the application, select the Airports icon at the bottom bar of the screen. The Airport directory will open to a map and pinpoint the users location (when connected to WIFI or cellular connection).
• To search an airport, enter in a name, code, city or state into the top left search field. The results will display below and the map on the right will display the matches.
• Tap on an airport in the search return list to view basic details about the airport.
• Select the “More…” option at the bottom right to view additional details about the selected airport.
Documents
To access the Documents section of the application, select the Documents icon at the bottom bar of the screen.
• After selecting the Documents icon, all documents that have been marked for Portside & FOS Mobile will be available for download and viewing here.
• Users have the option to download all available documents at once or to download individual documents.
• Documents that have been downloaded onto the device will indicate an arrow to the right of the file name and an image thumbnail to the left of the file name.
• Documents that have not yet been downloaded to the device will indicate a cloud icon and sections that have documents available for download will indicate a file icon.
• If a document that was previously downloaded is updated within FOS an update icon will appear next to that document and “New Version” will appear below the document name.
• When the Update icon is selected a prompt will appear allowing the user to download the updated version and delete the old document or cancel and not download the updated version.
• A search field allows users to search the list for documents with a specific file name.
• Populating the search field will filter the list to only show those documents meeting the search requirements.
• The document list will refresh each time the calendar refreshes, however users may manually refresh the document list by clicking, holding, and dragging down. Users will see a refresh icon appear at the top of the document list
• Documents that have been downloaded onto the device may be removed by selecting and holding the document and sliding to the left. Once the document has been removed the cloud icon will appear indicating that it may be downloaded again.
Settings
To access the settings page for the application, select the Settings icon at the bottom bar of the screen.
About Portside FOS Mobile
• App version
• This will display the version number of the Portside FOS Mobile application.
• FOS server version
• This will display the version of FOS that the server is running.
• Send us some feedback
• Use this section to submit a feedback item to the development team regarding the Portside FOS Mobile application.
• After selecting “Send us some feedback,” select the Topic of the feedback. Options include: Question, Request, Bug Report, and Other.
• Type the feedback comments in the space below the “Topic” field. Users will notice in the fields below this section, information about the device and app will also be sent with the feedback. When finished select “Mail.”
• After selecting “Mail,” the E-Mail client on the device will open. Select “Send” to submit the feedback.
Application Settings
• Signed in as
• Displays the Flight Manager login for the user that is currently signed into the application
• Offline Mode
• The FOS Mobile application will automatically perform a schedule refresh when navigating back to the Calendar. The “Offline Mode” setting is to disable the automatic refresh/sync. Users may still manually refresh, but this setting allows the user to manage the consumption of data.
• Airport Directory Auto Update (iPad only feature)
• If enabled, the app will automatically update the airport directory. If left disabled, the user would have to manually update the in-app directory when the solid red circle is seen at the bottom carousel next to the Airports icon.
• Secure App with Touch ID or Face ID (If applicable and activated on Apple Device)
• If Touch (or Face) ID has been enabled on the device, the “Secure App with Touch
ID” field will be available under Application Settings. Slide the toggle switch to the ON position to enable. This will allow users to unlock the application utilizing Touch
ID.
• Airport Identifier
• Users can toggle between viewing ICAO or IATA codes for airports within the application.
• Lock app screen • Lock
• Locking the application will lock the PORTSIDE FOS Mobile app, however, will not delete the data within the application. To lock, select the “Lock” option and “Lock Application.”
• Using the password to unlock the application:
• After the application has been locked, enter your Flight Manager password into the password field and select “Unlock.”
• Using Touch ID to lock the application:
• To utilize the Touch ID feature for locking and unlocking the application, Touch ID must first be enabled within the Settings on the Apple Device.
• If Touch ID is enabled on the device, an option under Application Settings, called “Secure App with Touch ID,” will display. Slide the toggle switch to the ON position to enable.
• After enabling Touch ID on the Device and within the PORTSIDE FOS Mobile
Application Settings, select “Lock” and “Lock Application.”
An additional unlocking option will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
• Using Touch ID to unlock the application:
• At the bottom of the locked application screen, select “Unlock with Touch ID.”
• A pop-up notification will display requesting the user to scan their fingerprint to unlock with Touch ID. Users can select “Cancel” to go back to the Lock Screen and enter their password instead.
Change Password
• Users have the ability to change and update their Flight Manager password within the application.
• Enter in the new password. Retype the password in the second field to confirm. Select “Done” when finished. Please note the password requirements.
• Sign out
• For security purposes, signing out of the application will delete all stored data inside of the application. When signing out of the application, an internet or cellular connection is required to sign in again.
FOS Application Settings
• User Account
• If the user’s device was synced with unified sign-on, this section will display the FOS User ID, Password and Host URL associated with the FOS database. If not using unified sign-on, these fields may be manually populated.
• If the user does not have a FOS Subscription, or FOS Mobile subscription, the user may use this application for the Trip Support Calendar. In this case, the FOS settings page may remain blank.
• Sync with Device Calendar - This setting controls the option to sync the FOS schedule of the PORTSIDE FOS application to the native device calendar. This new setting (released in Version 3.1 of the application) must be used in conjunction with specific user permissions released in FOS Core, Version 3.11.5 or higher, to sync the schedule within the PORTSIDE FOS application to the native device calendar.
• If the user is lacking the required permission with FOS Core (External Calendar Sync, located on the Mobile Tab of the FOS User profile), the will receive a message indicating the lack of permission.
• Calendar sync filter – This new setting (released in Version 3.1 of the application) will allow a user to only sync their schedule (User ID) with the native device calendar or the entire PORTSIDE FOS mobile application schedule the user has been set to view
(All).
• Please Note: If the user has been assigned the specific permission within FOS Core, “External Cal Assign Only” within the Mobile tab of the FOS User profile, the user will only be able to sync their schedule. If the user tries to activate the “All” sync, the user will receive a message indicating the lack of permission.
• Viewing the PORTSIDE FOS Schedule on the Native Calendar

• When opening a flight leg, the very basic details of the flight leg will display in the “Notes” section. This includes the Trip & Leg Number, Departure Airport, Departure Time in UTC, Arrival Airport, Arrival Time in UTC, Crew Count and Pax Count. Select “Show All Notes” to view all of this information.
• For more details about the flight leg, use the quick link in the “URL” section. This will open the flight leg within the PORTSIDE FOS application.

• When opening an activity, the very basic details of the activity will display in the “Notes” section. This includes the Activity Type, Begin Airport, End Airport and Time of Activity in UTC.
• For more details about the activity, use the quick link in the “URL” section. This will open the activity within the PORTSIDE FOS application.

Time Entry Style This setting allows the users to select a preferred format when entering any time entry field within the PORTSIDE FOS application. Users have the option of the Scroll Wheel or 10 Key Number Pad (Keyboard).
